Seriously, what's up with all the anthro art ..?

OHHHH kay. By show of hands, who's got resolutions for 2013? **raises hand** I give you all a week :-) I bet it has something to do with losing weight and getting fit. Yeah, mine too. More to the point, 2013 is the year I really try and get back into design again. I have had several ideas kinda knocking about in my head but none of them has been strong enough to break the bone and spill out onto the paper/tablet. That's such a gross image. ANYWAYS. My arms are tired from my workout so I'll end this here. Deuces, people.

I realize that to be successful, truly successful, in anything at all, you have to really work at it. The reason that there are only a handful of very successful people in the world is that only a handful of people are willing to actually put in the work. Is it true that it takes 10,000 hours of dedication to a task or skill to make one an 'expert?' If that's the case, I gotta get started on that. It's hard. I mean, really hard. I'm talking HOURS doing the same thing, looking for new ways to do it, pushing through the periods when you feel like shit isn't going anywhere and you feel like giving up.
